Lawn Fawn Sealed With A Kiss

I selective inked to remove the closed eyes and used the "rosy cheeks" to give him some big, open eyes. :)  I added in highlights with a white gel pen.

I technically made this for the challenge #142 for thank you cards, but didn't realize the submission window had already closed.  It kind of worked out perfectly that my thank you card included snow so I can submit it for challenge #143!

Lawn Fawn Frosty Fairy Friends

I used the brand new release by Lawn Fawn for Winter 2016, Frosty Fairy Friends for the main focus of this card.  The little bundled up fairies are so cute!

I had the idea to set them up as "painting" the house, so I colored the bottom of the house with Spectrum Noir markers and then used my Lawn Fawn Wild Rose ink pad to watercolor the top of the house with an aqua brush.  I paper pieced their little dresses with the new Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas Petite 6 x 6 paper pack.  The paint pot is the vase from Lawn Fawn On the Mend stamp set, and the lid for the jar is the top of the ice pack on top of the turtle's head from On the Mend. I used the triton die from Mermaid For You and altered it to make my paint brushes.  :)

The skin and hair of the fairies are colored with Spectrum Noir markers, and then I used Copics for the scarves, wings, roof, and sills on the house.  The door is watercolored with Lawn Fawn Peacock ink.  The little berry twigs are stamped with VersaMark and then gold heat embossed before coloring in with dark green and celery markers.

I cut the main panel out with the Large Cross-Stitched Rectangle die from Lawn fawn, then used the Stitched Hillside Borders by LF to cut the hills.  I pressed the hills in my VersaMark ink pad, then heat embossed with iridescent glitter embossing powder.  The finishing touch was clear Wink of Stella on the wings and gold Wink of Stella on the chimney cap and light strand.

Lawn Fawn Turn Me On

Paper Smooches Gill-Friend

I made this card today just to have in my birthday stash. I used the adorable pelican from Paper Smooches Surf and Turf. After masking off the bird, I lightly layered color over the background with my ink blending tool (lawn Fawn Mermaid ink) and then colored in the pelican with a Copic (gray) and several Stampin' Up markers.  The balloons are a Paper Smooches die. The water is an Avery Elle die.  To make the colored panels that I cut the water and balloons from, I used Arches watercolor paper and Gansai Tambi watercolorsunset to first make a blue and green panel, then an orange/pink/coral panel.  I used a ruler to line up the hand drawn balloon strings and free-handed the "tie" around his beak.  I mounted the whole thing on a Kraft card base.

Avery Elle Party Animal

Just a really quick one I made today. Blue panel and stamps by Avery Elle, Balloon die by Paper Smooches. Ink is Clearly Kelly from Hero Arts.

Paper Smooches Nine Lives

Another one I whipped up tonight using my new goodies.  Stamp set is Paper Smooches Nine Lives.  The border die is from Lawn Fawn, tag Avery Elle.  You can't really tell, but I used white heat embossing for the teeth before I cut them out.  I have now officially used all six Paper Smooches sets I bought for Christmas! I just can't get over how cute they are. :)

Paper Smooches Zoo Crew

This is kind of a terrible picture that I will probably retake in the daylight, but I thought it turned out so cute!  The background is tone on tone ink, which I sponged over a stencil (Crafter's Workshop).  The die cut words are from MFT I believe (I stamped the "thank you" with a line background stamp that has long ago retired from Stampin' Up!) and the white panel is Avery Elle.  I rubbed the edge of the white panel in VersaMark ink and embossed with Ranger Liquid Platinum.  The stamp is of course from Zoo Crew by Paper Smooches. The glitter heart sticker was designated for the garbage after it fell off of one of my kid's slap bracelets, but I rescued it and I think it's the perfect little accent for this card.

Paper Smooches 4 COLOR CHALLENGE

January's challenge on the Paper Smooches blog involved using 4 colors plus neutrals on a card. I used two different green inks on the large leaves (I "kissed" two different stamps together---the smaller fern like leaf was inked in a darker green). The pops of coral and teal are set off with the neutral white and sand background.  I popped up the flower with foam tape as well as the white panel. The embossed background was done with my Big Shot and a lifestyle crafts embossing folder. The stamp sets were Botanicals 3 and Party Posse by Paper Smooches.

Paper Smooches Fish in the Sea

This card was very heavily inspired by Jennifer McGuire. She had a card published with this sentiment and two fish facing each other a couple years back.  The fish were created using the mirror image stamping technique.  The set is called Surf and Turf. I used the Gansai Tambi watercolors again to color the fish and then used my Wink of Stella clear brush pen on the fish and heart balloon (also by Paper Smooches).  I hand drew the balloon string and finished it off with two coats of Glossy Accents.

Paper Smooches Happy Baa-thday

This is another set that I bought for myself with Christmas money. PS stamps are SO cute. :)  I used Bazzill Cardstock, lifestyle crafts embossing folder, and the die is from Paper Smooches as well as the sheep and sentiment (the set is called Party Posse). I used Versamark and clear embossing powder for the sentiment.

Paper Smooches Stacked Dogs

I spent some Christmas money on stamps and supplies and the thing I was most looking forward to being delivered was this ADORABLE stamp set called Woofers And Tweeters by Paper Smooches. My order came yesterday and I had to play with them today.  I did some simple masking with the dogs to stack them on top of each other. I used VersaColor black ink and clear embossed the dog outlines. I used Gansai Tambi watercolors on Strathmore watercolor paper for the dog panel. I used VersaMark ink with clear embossing powder for the paw prints and bones on the Kraft card stock background. A few little hearts and two staples finished it off to let the stamped panel take center stage.

**embarrasingly, I entered this into Paper Smooches monthly designer call and put a picture of myself on the link picture. I can't figure out how to change it. :(

Baby Boy Shaker

This is a baby card I made for my friend 's baby boy. He was born in late October. The elephant stamp is by Avery Elle. I will update the rest of the supplies later today.

Welcome

Welcome to my new little slice of the Internet pie!  My original blog became defunct when I was going through many life changes starting in 2010 and I fell away from crafting for a while.  Blogger won't let me change my account information on the old blog, so I'm starting fresh.  Hope you enjoy yourself here.
