New Lawn Fawn

I really, really love all of the new spring 2018 Lawn Fawn products. My new goodies arrived yesterday at about 12:45 and I actually walked down to the mailbox the instant the mailman pulled away lol. This card is the result of a week-long planning session in my head. :) the new Quilted Backdrop is so stunning and elegant--I was lucky most of the little "eyelet" pieces stayed in, since that was the look I was going for. I covered the back of the piece with regular scotch tape to keep them in place before running it through with the stitched oval. The "happy birthday" die cut lacked a little something, so I cut another piece in Storm Cloud cardstock and layered them for a tint bit of subtle dimension. I coated the flowers, the "balls" on the sprig pieces, and the sentiment in wink of Stella and then glossy accents for an enameled look. It's really pretty in person. :)

Supplies (all by Lawn Fawn, unless otherwise noted):
Quilted Backdrop die
Large Stitched Oval Stackables
Spring Sprig die
Raspberry, Sunflower, Cilantro, Moonstone, and Storm Cloud cardstock
Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables
Spring Plaid Petite Patterned Paper Pack
Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Other: Glossy Accents, Wink Of Stella, foam tape

Lawnfawnatics Inky Fingers Challenge

Instagram:  @amypeach1978

Supplies (all by Lawn Fawn, unless otherwise noted):
Ahoy Matey stamps and dies
Deep Sea, Moonstone, Doe, Walnut, and Pumpkin Spice ink pads
Stitched Hillside Backdrop: Landscape
Other: Copic markers, wink of Stella, glossy accents, foam tape, watercolor cardstock

I started out trying to watercolor a sunset onto the watercolor card front--the orange at the bottom didn't look like a sunset, so then I thought I would die cut the top out of it with the Stitched Hillside Backdrop. Once I did that, the resultant panel looked kind of like the ocean and sand, so I pulled out Ahoy Matey and played up the sand/sky effect. I ink blended doe ink over the orangish bottom part, then stippled Walnut ink over that. I white heat embossed some waves and used Deep Sea ink to stamp other waves.  I popped up all of the images in the front to give the card more depth and dimension.  I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out--it's always a lesson in persistence when something doesn't turn out the way you originally envisioned it--don't throw it away, just change directions! :)

Lawnfawnatics Inspiration Board

It took me a while to be happy with this card. I had the hearts, squares, and gray panel all adhered down, but then the left side of the card looked weird and bland.  A couple days ago I added the patterned paper strip, and then yesterday I added the sentiment banner and Lawn Trimmings twine and that pulled it all together.

Supplies (all by Lawn Fawn, unless otherwise noted):
Conversation Hearts Add-On stamps and dies
Ballet Slippers and Bubblegum ink, Moonstone and Blue Jay ink, Minty Fresh and Merman ink, Fresh Lavender and Grape Soda ink, Peachy Keen and Peach Fuzz ink, Mermaid and Peacock ink
Storm Cloud cardstock
Aquamarine Lawn Trimmings
Large Stitched Square Stackables
Mint Line Dance Patterned Paper
Fancy Folded Banners die
Lacy Borders die
Other: Scotch 3m foam tape, Neenah Solar White cardstock
